Can I combine the HV with my old heating system?
This is normally possible without incident. Your heating technician should advise you on your specific case. Depending on your existing heating system components, we offer different various prepared “upgrade packages.”
What controller do I need?
For the HV and HV-S wood gasifier boiler, KÜNZEL offers three different controllers, all three of which are suitable for controlling these boilers. Your selection depends entirely on whether you prefer a consciously simple controller or whether you want to access certain heating processes with a range of functions in order to increase your heating comfort. How often do I need to add fuel?
It depends on the size of your boiler and the type of wood used. The larger the boiler and the more energy-rich the wood, the less often you need to add fuel. A rough reference point is: A wood gasifier boiler needs to be filled three to five times per day.
How often do I have to clean the boiler?
Please empty the ash pit and the combustion chamber shell daily. Ribs below the ash shell approx. once per week with the provided scrapping instrument. Other parts like retroactive rising flues, air channels, burner gaps, blowers are to be check and cleaned at an interval of one to several months, as necessary.
What is the service life of a KÜNZEL wood gasifier boiler?
KÜNZEL wood gasifier boilers have been produced since 1986. Many of the systems from the first years are still running. As operator, you have a far-reaching influence on the service life of your boiler. You can increase it considerably by having the boiler regularly serviced by a technician, using a sufficiently large buffer accumulator, regularly servicing the return flow increase and following exactly the notes on using the wood fuel in the operating manual.
