A wood gasifier boiler requires a buffer accumulator with a nominal power of at least 55 liters per kW. A buffer accumulator increases the system’s heating comfort and also keeps wear and tear and emissions low when the operator cannot use all of the heat.
It depends on which fuels you want to use to heat, your heating and comfort requirements and which heating system components you already have in your home/building. Please ask your heating technician for advice.
The heating requirement calculation for your building is performed by your heating technician. We would be glad to assist him. The boiler power of a wood gasifier boiler also has an influence on the heating comfort: A higher boiler power increases the length of time between refill intervals. However, it must always be ensured that all heat is used, which can be achieved through an appropriately large buffer accumulator.
The suitability of your exhaust gas system is best checked by your chimney sweep. Among other things, it is important that the cross-section of the exhaust gas flue is never less than the diameter of the boiler exhaust gas connection.
